How we began? It's actually a pretty awesome story!
When my father, Allen Powell, proposed to his loving girlfriend, Heather Powell, they both immediately knew they wanted a rustic theme wedding, and a large one at that. After finally settling on a venue they began the grueling process of shopping vendors around the Charlottesville, Va area. After checking out a couple of possible rental companies, my dad decided that he would spend his own time building the farm tables and bars for his wedding. Being the jack of all trades that he is, he immediately knew he could build a quality product that could stand the test of time. And that he did! Not only did they decide to build the larger pieces but they also bought all of the stem wear, china, mason jars, and other decor pieces for their dream wedding.
So as you can see the idea of starting a rental company fell into my lap. Now the big question was what to name it? I wanted something unique that would truly represent the essence of the company. One of the ways my father and I bond is by setting on the front porch enjoying the delicacy of a Virginian wine. One night during our evening chats on the front porch my dad came up with the fabulous idea of Real Southern Accents Event Service and Rental Company. After all the names that were discussed this one really felt like me and what I wanted my company to represent.
Happily, I can say that we are a small family business, and thoroughly enjoy serving the central Virginia area. We are always looking to grace a new place with our quality rentals and style so give us a shout, we would love to work with you!
